Boy band Xodiac to drop first physical EP, 'Midnight Sky'
Boy band Xodiac will release its first physical EP on June 7, following the digital release of “Midnight Sky” on Tuesday.
“Midnight Sky” is the boy band’s fourth digital single following “Calling,” released on March 13, before the boy band’s official debut, “Throw A Dice,” released on April 25 and "Always" released on May 9.
Xodiac plans to take on a different approach to its album releases, where the boy band will form different sub-units, releasing multiple digital singles before its physical album release in June.
Six of the nine members — Hyunsik, Beomsoo, Wain, Sing and Davin have participated in the upcoming single, “Midnight Sky.”
More digital singles may be released in the future, according to the agency One Cool Jacso Entertainment.
The nine-member band was known as OCJ Newbies during its trainee period. There are six Korean members — Hyunsik, Lex, Beomsoo, Wain, Gyumin and Davin — two members from Hong Kong — Sing and Leo — and one member from Indonesia, Zayyan.
OCJ is short for One Cool Jacso Entertainment, a Hong Kong-based entertainment agency founded by actor Louis Koo. Girl group Skyle, consisting of Korean and Chinese members, is currently under the agency.
Xodiac aims to run under a flexible structure where members participate in different songs based on their talents. The three songs released so far will be included on a physical album in June.
