Dawn begins mandatory service as social service agent on Thursday
Singer Dawn started his alternative military service as a social service agent on Thursday, the singer said in a letter to fans on his Instagram.
"I ask for your understanding that I did not tell you earlier because I wanted to start quietly," Dawn said in an Instagram story.
"I'm here to say thank you before I go, leaving all the other emotions aside. I thank all the fans for their support. I'll come back healthy."
He will be revealing projects that he finished before his enlistment, he said.
Dawn debuted in 2016 as part of 10-member boy band Pentagon under Cube Entertainment. Dawn, who used to go by the stage name E'Dawn of Pentagon, left Pentagon and Cube Entertainment in September 2018 after he came forward with his relationship with singer HyunA, even though the agency had publicly denied the relationship.
The couple broke up in November.
