LE SSERAFIM's 'Perfect Night' tops Circle Chart’s Global K-pop chart [GLOBAL K-POP CHART]

Long live the queen: LE SSERAFIM is the new winner of this week’s Global K-pop chart.

The Circle Chart’s Global K-pop chart for the second week of 2024 (Jan. 7 – Jan. 13) saw LE SSERAFIM's 2023 English single “Perfect Night” taking the number one spot for the first time since its release, dethroning Jung Kook’s “Standing Next to You.”

“Standing Next to You,” the lead track in Jung Kook’s first solo album “GOLDEN,” had kept its No. 1 position on the Global K-pop chart since it first topped the chart in the second week of November.

Until now, “Perfect Night,” released on Oct. 27, had stayed at second place on the chart since the third week of November.

The digital single was released in collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment’s online multiplayer shooter game Overwatch 2.

The English track in the easy-listening genre has already set multiple records, making it the first English track released by a K-pop girl group to top Melon’s Top 100 real-time streaming chart, daily, weekly and monthly charts. The song also landed at No. 8 on Billboard’s Global (Excl. US) chart and No. 18 on the Global 200 chart, making it the group’s career-high on Billboard.

Following “Perfect Night” is aespa’s “Drama” (2023), keeping its third place position, followed by NewJeans’s “Super Shy” (2023) and Jung Kook’s “3D (feat. Jack Harlow)” (2023), each one step higher than last week.

The rest of the chart contains many familiar faces, with Jung Kook’s explicit version of “Seven” (2023) at sixth, Jimin’s “Like Crazy” (2023) at seventh, NewJeans’s “Ditto” (2022) and “OMG” (2023) at eighth and ninth, and the clean version of “Seven” at tenth.

Notably, RIIZE’s latest single “Love 119,” landed on No. 11, up 66 steps from last week.

“Love 119,” released on Jan. 5, is RIIZE’s pop-dance score that samples melodies from Izi’s all-time hit soundtrack “Emergency Room” (2005).
