Sunmi's forthcoming single for June will be titled "Balloon in Love," her agency Abyss Company said Monday.

The single marks the singer’s first music in eight months since her last digital single, “Stranger,” was released in October last year.

The upcoming release will be "a bright and warm transition from her previous music," according to Abyss Company.

Although further details about the new music, including the release date, remain undisclosed, a logo motion clip teasing a snippet of the upcoming song and its title was shared on Sunmi's social media platforms on Monday.

Sunmi debuted as a member of girl group Wonder Girls under JYP Entertainment in 2007. After departing the group in 2010 to pursue her studies, she embarked on a solo career, debuting with her first single, "24 Hours," in 2013. Sunmi is renowned for hits such as "Gashina" (2017), "Heroine" (2018), "Tail" (2021) and "Heart Burn" (2022).
