Starship Entertainment opens online auditions for new boy band, foreigners eligible

Boy band Cravity [STARSHIP ENTERTAINMENT]

Starship Entertainment is holding a public audition starting Monday to debut a new boy band by 2025.

Any male born between 2003 and 2010 can apply for the “2025 New Kids on the Starship” audition via a link posted in the description section of the agency's YouTube video announcing the audition. Foreigners are also eligible to apply.

The new boy band will be following in the footsteps of the agency's boy band Cravity, which debuted in April 2020. It will also be the agency's first K-pop group since girl group IVE, which debuted in December 2021.

The application period runs from Monday to July 24. The first round of the audition — held online — requires a self-introduction video along with a video showcasing a talent in one or more of the following fields: vocals, rap, dance or acting.

The date and location for the second round of the audition — held offline — will be revealed to those who pass the first round.

As this audition aims for a 2025 debut, the final winners will have the opportunity for the fastest debut in Starship Entertainment’s history.

Starship Entertainment's roster includes singer K.Will and Jeong Se-woon, boy bands Monsta X and Cravity and girl groups IVE and WJSN.
